Pat Cann distinguishes herself with considerable accomplishment-laden experience in numerous major business disciplines, including administration, accounting, human resources, safety, employee training, customer support, sales, communications, distribution/transportation, logistics, supply chain management, warehousing, etc. She has years of experience working directly with the President, Board of Directors, and senior staff of several companies and has personally served in similar positions herself.
As President of a successful bulk-filling and warehousing company, one of Pat’s greatest professional accomplishments was her success establishing the business as a preferred supplier and value provider with major national and international clients. This achievement occurred through Pat’s efforts of developing and implementing customer specific service and pricing initiatives and personally presenting them to corporate decision-makers.
Another important achievement was her direct involvement in the ISO Certification process of several companies which resulted in improved operational quality and increased profitability, in addition to sustained growth and an enhanced competitive edge.
Pat has negotiated key agreements with suppliers, vendors, and major customers. Responsible for all facets of a transportation company, industrial/commercial bulk-filling operation, and warehousing business, Pat has proven her ability to balance competing priorities, complex situations, and tight deadlines in numerous situations. She managed reporting to appropriate government agencies, Staff, and Board, to assure full compliance of all state and federal regulatory agencies, and she ensured appropriate fiscal controls were in place to meet statutory compliance and integrity of business data and statements.
Leveraging an ever-expanding portfolio of qualifications covering many management core competencies, Pat has proven time and again her flexibility in responding to dynamic business situations and her ability to wear many hats to effectively meet and exceed corporate goals and challenges.
Pat is competent with several specialized business applications such as PC Miler, which is used in the transportation industry, and SAP software which is used for routine business activities like bulk material ordering, production orders, overseas shipment documentation, inbound and outbound shipment scheduling and postings, inventory control, equipment scheduling requirements for truck tankers and railroad containers, etc.
In addition to proficiency in MS Office Suite, Internet, and Email, and several accounting applications including MAS90 and QuickBooks, Pat is experienced in Accounts Payable/Receivable, Payroll, General Ledger, Bank Reconciliation, Sales Order, Inventory Management, and custom applications interfacing inventory/product bar-code programs and medical insurance claims.
Pat began her career in the Health Care industry and acquired a Real Estate license in 2006.
